SunZia Transmission Project Nearing Completion of Permitting & Development Phase

The SunZia Southwest Transmission Project will help meet a critical need for
electric transmission infrastructure in the southwest, and will create
valuable jobs and economic development across Southeast Arizona.

SunZia received Federal regulatory approval in January 2015 and Arizona
regulatory approval in February 2016. The Project will seek regulatory
approval from New Mexico, as well as negotiate land leases with public and
private property owners along the route during 2016.

The Project consists of two transmission lines, as well as electrical
substations, that will transport 3,000 megawatts from Arizona and New Mexico
to customers and markets across the Desert Southwest. Of the 515-mile
transmission line, about 200 miles will be located in Arizona in Greenlee,
Cochise, Graham, Pinal and Pima counties.

Benefits include:
* Provides an option to develop power generation resources,
including renewable resources, located in Arizona and New Mexico that
currently do not have nearby access to transmission service; and

* Delivers these generation resources to customers in western
markets; and

* Increases reliability of the existing extra-high voltage
transmission system in southern Arizona and southern New Mexico; and

* Greatly improves power transfer across the Desert Southwest
electricity grid; and

* Generates jobs and revenues for state and local governments
through property, state and local taxes paid by the SunZia Project and
generation projects that will utilize SunZia's new transmission capacity.

Construction is planned for 2018, once all final approvals have been
granted. Commercial operations are planned for 2021. For more information,
